Timbalooloo Music Classes And Workshops For Children Created By Oran Etkin Kids

www.timbalooloo.com Timbalooloo Music Classes are offered throughout New York and occasionally in Los Angeles, Paris and other cities as well. Parents get a group of children together and the class meets once a week in a child’s home. Timbalooloo workshops also take place at music venues and festivals around the country, often in conjunction with performances of Oran Etkin’s Timbalooloo band (a full band featuring Clara Net and her mother, Big Mama Tuba with a show based on Oran’s award winning CD, “Wake Up, Clarinet!”). When Oran is on tour, parents often organize classes in the cities he visits as well! “immediately connects to a child’s imagination” -Edie Falco “Pied Piper Oran Etkin Wakes Up Instruments And Audiences” – Philadelphia Daily News Timbalooloo is an organization founded by internationally acclaimed jazz and world-music artist Oran Etkin, whose work has won awards from Independent Music Awards, Parents Choice Foundation, NAPPA, Oppenheim and is featured on a GRAMMY Nominated CD. Inspired by his musical travels around the world, Etkin created the Timbalooloo method to teach young children how to become fluent in the language of music by really teaching fundamentals of music at a young age through fun games and stories and incorporating the music of many cultures. The Timbalooloo music classes have received praise from Harvey Keitel, Naomi Watts, Liev Schreiber, Edie Falco and Ken Burns (all of whom have enrolled their children in Timbalooloo classes). Oran …
www.TheJeffreyFoundation.com 40 Years Helping Special Needs Children & Their Families WHO ARE WE? The Jeffrey Foundation is a non-profit organization that strives to improve the quality of life for special needs children and their families through the development of community-based therapeutic, recreational, educational, and social programs. We are currently celebrating our 38th year in Los Angeles. HOW DID WE GET STARTED? In 1972, in response to an urgent need, our Founder and President, Alyce Morris, opened the first day care center for multi-handicapped children in Los Angeles County and named it for her son Jeffrey, a victim of muscular dystrophy. Since that time, we have expended the scope of our services and today; no other agency provides such a wide range of services for disabled and at-risk children and their families WHO ARE THE PEOPLE WE SERVE? Our programs have benefited thousands of special needs children and their families. The typical Jeffrey Foundation family consists of a single working mother, one special child and two brothers or sisters. Some of the special needs children we serve suffer from diseases such as muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, and autism. Others are the victims of abuse, crippling accidents, sight, speech, and hearing impediments or in utero drug exposure. No matter what the challenge a child faces, the Jeffrey Foundation is dedicated to helping all children to reach their highest potential …
Hey Jimmy Kimmel I told my kids I ate all their Halloween candy!
11/6/11 THANKS for all the nice comments! Just wanted to answer some questions from comments and messages…. 1) No, they are not twins (2 years apart) and they are both girls! 2) Yes, we are Christians! God-loving, church-going bible-reading Christians. It is a fact, Jesus is my homeboy. 3) We do have one more little girl (I was holding her in one arm and recording this with the other!) And no, we have no plans at this time for further procreation
4) I also have no intentions of writing a parenting book! Too much to learn myself! I am, however, a big fan of READING parenting books….our fave is “Making Children Mind Without Losing Yours” by Kevin Leman. It is really great! 5) Finally, to those who sent messages/comments expressing that these little girls have made you re-think your own attitudes and reactions, bless your hearts! I hope that you find happiness in your new disposition
Thanks y’all for the comments- this has been fun! 11/5/11 WOW I am feeling so humbled this morning…thanks for all the nice comments! We realize we are so blessed with our little ladies! Thanks for watching and sharing…hope it continues to make people smile
11/3/11 I saw the clip of all the kids on Jimmy Kimmel and was shocked at all the tears!! I decided to try it out on G&G and see how they would react
Kind of mean but no harm done….

Stupid Things Parents Do To Mess Up Their Kids: Don’t Have Them If You Won’t Raise Them

Never one to shy away from tough truths, Dr. Laura marshals compelling evidence for the widespread neglect of America’s children and convincingly condemns the numerous rationalizations to excuse it. These are just a few of her hard-hitting points:Don’t Have Them If You Won’t Raise Them: ”
